NEW PALTZ, New York
Home of the best rock climbing east of the Rockies and best patchouli-soaked tie-dies this side of the Hudson, New Paltz is a SUNY college town with great outdoor activities and a vibrant local scene. It’s also just an hour and a half north of the city and conveniently located along the I-87 corridor.
We’ve highlighted a few of our favorite spots, that you might think about visiting during a session with us.
TEAM LOVE RECORD SHOP
Team Love is New Paltz’s pride ‘n’ joy record label. They put out consistently amazing records and are consistently wonderful people. Drop by on your way out of town and get a record and a tee!
We have a coffee machine at the studio, but if you need a break from the studio (each other), Commissary is the spot for coffee in town. They brew the best beans, but be forewarned they don’t serve animal-derived milk.
Chris Bowman’s CBHO drums is reason enough for any musician, especially a drummer, to visit New Paltz. He’s got great drums, great stories, but make sure not to stay too long - we gotta get a drum sound!
